Antique American Optical Co Brass Double Convex Pocket Reading Magnifying Glass with Leather Case Snap Closure AO Eyewear
This brass double convex-lensed reading/magnifying glass was made by American Optical Company most likely in the early 1900s. The handle and lens frame are made of brass, the double convex lens of glass.
Both the reading glass and case are in very good antique condition with some slight tarnishing and verdigris to the brass, minor scratches to the glass lens and wear to the leather case. The leather of the case is still soft and flexible; the snap closure secure and functional. Some of the seam has come apart
